RTA
Got involved in an RTA today at around 1.20pm, outside nee soon camp. My buddy and I drove out for lunch and were on our way back to camp already… was trying to negotiate a right turn at a cross junction when this motorcyclist did not stop and keep on riding forward from the opposite direction! Luckily we were all traveling at low speed so he just skidded slightly and landed on his knee; while my buddy’s car plate got knocked off and suffered a few scratches too. Sianz damn suay and troublesome. Spent the whole afternoon waiting for his employer to come (well he is an employee trying to send some mails or what), settling insurance stuff, going to IDAC, making police reports...Then again, I think the motorcyclist is even more suay. Not only did he sustain injuries, he also need to compensate for our loss (since he is in the wrong and we are in the right of way) and furthermore, his employer doesn’t seem to care about him and he has to settle everything himself. Sad case. This will probably cost him 2 months of his pay.
Anyway, it is quite an experience. In fact this is like the first RTA that I am directly involved in (though I am just the passenger lah…)
