is it so difficult to be decent in indecent times?
We were all trying to be decent men in an indecent time.that sounds familiar isn't it.
it is the time of the month when i need to start bitching about.. yup my colleagues again! looking back about my blog entry on 5th june 08, my stand still remains the same. 50% of my fellow colleagues are dysfunctional! there hasn't been much changes in terms of work attitude over the past 3 months, i am so sad to say.
it has been hard to be decent. And when i say "decent", i simply mean u should at least make life convenient for your fellow colleagues and of course less harm to your patients, by:
1) summarise the cases before changing over teams
2) clearing up your shit before changing over teams
3) writing down clear plans for the patient before changing over teams.
it is seriously no fun, especially if your fellow colleague went on leave and you are doing 2 man's job without having the above.
it has been hard to be decent. cos the decent gets penalised when the indecent one gets away scot free. Penalised - cos u cover and clear up the mess the indecent creates. i.e u do extras and get paid the same.
it has been hard to be decent. especially when the tops are flaccid.
i think it is ridiculous to approve a one-week leave that is applied one day prior to the leave, especially if:
1) there are already 2 people going on leave (who applied way before hand - that's decent and responsible)
2) it is not an urgent leave such as your pet spider passed away or your flat got blown off by hurricane.
3) it is obviously a leave that can be applied earlier and well-planned for.
4) there wasn't even a call request - so who's going to do the indecent's call now? and dun expect the call planner (aka me) to make arrangement for your impromptu rubbish.
i want to be indecent.
