fungal corneal infections
read from newspapers that there is increasing incidence of fungal corneal infections in singapore from those wearing contact lens and all but one were using RENU solution... which brings me to think whether i should change another brand of solution since i am currently using this brand, and whether i should throw away the current pair of lens that were soaked in this solution for dunno how many days already. but then again, i have been using this brand for almost 2 years and so far nothing serious had happened, so theoractically, by the law of probability, the chance of getting infected should be quite low. Perhaps i should just pretend that i didn't know of this information and continue life as it is.
Last week was quite uneventful; managed to book out everyday at least. Major events next week:
Wednesday- commissioning ceremony
Thursday- dining in

Week 14
wooh.. a hiatus of 2 months before i updated this again! no choice, after all i am still using 56K dial up plan and itz a hassle for me to wait for logging in and more. Can't believe 14 weeks of training has already passed... been through quite a lot really, thinking back. Now we have 11 more days to passing out and i am looking forward to that! ok let me cut and paste an excerpt from my weekly journal that i kept:
"Yesh! We have completed the final summary exercise Saviour, a grueling 3D2N field camp from wed to fri. It wasn’t as siong as Nomad (our 1st field camp) physically definitely and no one fell out for that matter. The torturing part was that we had to walk a lot… it’s like about 6km in all the missions (Mission 1- coastal hook ops; mission 2- movement to contact; mission 3- FIBUA; mission 4- retrograde movement). Not to mention that we have to carry heavy loads in some of the missions like BCS bags, stretchers/MOP. And also those gross field rations.
The consolating part is that they actually cancelled mission 4! By right we are supposed to casavat causualties for a whole 8 km stretch from FIBUA village to the jetty. Well I guess this is the best welfare so far and it’s definitely worth more than a night out. We were mentally prepared for the casavat so I guess it is really a bonus. Thanks CC for this =) And we booked out on Friday night. Cool!"
Life should be better from now on.
