those times
i went back to hqmc on monday with some of my friends for some admin stuff. well i am not really involved but i thought i will go anyway, since i haven't been there for almost 5 months. nothing much has changed, other than the building was repainted, the cars at the parking lots were unfamiliar (since there are so many new people now..), the wanton mee auntie was replaced by a younger one, the office has become messier with more people, my cubicle is also messier.
i actually missed the place and the people there.

are there reasons to make me stay?
i hate to say this, but this is getting a bit out of control. one bad month is enough, why am i make to suffer another month? as i have mentioned earlier in my previous posting, i am expecting a consultant who is a terror to everybody. and true enough, she finally showed her true colours today.
she totally lost it. she lost control of herself. i don't want to elaborate too much here, but i think it is totally unreasonable. what is the point of losing your temper, when everybody is working hard as the number of new patients increased exponentially despite having shortage of manpower (a new record of 12 new cases in a day), staying late to summarise the cases, getting interuptted by relatives and more relatives for update that i can't even finish my changes before the new case arrived.
somemore getting scolded for things that weren't even my fault.
why can't people, be it superiors or subordinates, work cordially in an amiable manner? wouldn't that improve efficiency?
this is a totally bad working experience.
and i am beginning to wonder why i choose this line. i probably won't be able to stand this for long, entertaining the PMS mood of my bosses.
totally ridiculous. why should i be doing this to myself?
are there any reasons to make me stay?
i need to talk to someone.

all my cute ah mas are going home soon! i like taking care of old ah mas, especially the cute ones - there is one who can't really communicate, but will look at u earnestly; another one who keeps waving at u; another one who will answer "guai" when i asked "ah ma ho bo". in fact, i think geriatrics does sound quite a promising option in future heh..
then again, my next 2 weeks are not going to be easy cos i have heard the various comments about our new consultant covering the ward. sigh. why am i always so unlucky.
but anyway, at least i have something to look forward to, cos i will be on leave next month. Yes! finally it is my turn to go on leave after 5 months of working. and i am quite broke now that i have paid my initial deposit for my tour.

a series of weddings
2 wedding dinners within 1 week!
somemore nowadays not much cash to spend. sigh.
and i have one more at the end of the month and i foresee 2 more coming.
well i dun really like to attend this kind of function, so unless it fulfills one of the few criteria, otherwise i will gladly give it a miss, and i probably won't mind if u dun invite me at all.
criteria include:
1) u r my friend (more than just hi-bye) and we are quite close; or used to be quite close
2) my close friends are going
3) i foresee some gains from attending the dinner, and these include: chance to catch up with old friends, chance to try food at this particular restaurant, worthwhile to keep in contact, chance for me to meet someone i want to meet.
so well it wasn't so stringent after all, which ends up me attending almost all of the dinner invites that i have received.
anyway, the first one belongs to one of my meddy friends held at merchant court and it fulfills hmmm..2 out of the 3 criteria. the second one belongs to one of my secondary school friends held at hilton hotel and it fulfills 2 out of the 3 criteria too! and guess what, SM Goh was there too, with 3 bodyguards around! probably will need more now that the JI leader is out at large.
