What i like about this show - full of action, and of course angelina jolie (i heard she did most of the shunts herself.. cool!). Perhaps a slightly towards lame storyline with an expected twist. it is quite astonishing how a newbie assassin could destroy the thousand year old fraternity, given that those who trained him are perhaps much more skilful and experienced than him. Killing based on fate is quite ridiculous, though the plot of using the magnificent textile making machine does add points to the visuals. Rather entertaining, especially when the bullets flew past and curled their ways towards the target. Adrenaline-rushing. it is rated NC16 - for some of its groolsome scene, obscene language and full back nudity of angelina. i give it 4/5.
we have gotten ourselves a new 40" LCD TV which arrived today. a totally new experience, after having the previous bulky 29" for so many years. i have always wanted to get an enormous TV set since i started work and become more financially competent - and since i spend a fair amount of time as a crouch potato.
this is probably the right time purchasing one, with the ongoing great singapore sale. it comes with a free home theatre system! but we will have to collect it ourselves.
that's what one of my avid readers asks me. and why my blogs are longer when it comes to talk about work? and why the frequency of blogging becomes lesser? and why am i blogging two times today?
shorter because i am starting to get a bit bored typing and i am running out of ideas to include in every entry. and blogging requires inspiration. and inspiration doesn't come that often. even if it comes, it may not be the appropriate time as i may not be in front of the computer. and when i am in front of my computer, i may not have the desire to write. and when the day comes where u don't see me blog for more than one month, that will be the day when i have found interest in other matters.
inspiration comes when i blogged about work. that's the unfortunate truth. cos i spent 37.5% of my time working (37.5% of my time sleeping and the rest 25% includes travelling, dining, recreation and other misc stuff). so it makes up one big bulk of my life, and forms a big bulk of my memory, which translates into thoughts that i want to broadcast.
lesser frequency is related to why the blogs are shorter.
why i blogged 2 times today - cos i am damn bored doing my weekend call now and thus after bathing x2, eating x2, watching endless youtubes, doing minimal reading, watching encore programme from the green-tinge 1000year old tv, talking to nurses, summarising some casenotes and napping a while, i have to refresh my blogger again.
spent my friday nite and saturday in town this week and caught 2 movies. kung fu panda - quite funny, the kind of movie when u will laugh and forget soon. simple storyline which contrasts the complicated life.
hulk - i have watched the first one by ang lee and i can't remember much. this one, action-packed but too loud which risks the peace in silence.
to have something to say yet you can't express out properly is one of the most pathetic situation. i have difficulty ordering my lunch today; i shortened my clerking by 50% cos i dun think my patient can understand me anyway. luckily my consultant wasn't around to do the rounds today.

u will never appreciate how crucial one is until u lost it.
father's day dinner at lei garden at orchard shopping centre. unfortunately the set dinner ran out and we have to order ala carte. i like the food. one of the best chinese meals i have tasted so far. price wise, hmm... let's put it that we should have a reasonable meal once in a while.
12-16 june 08. and my acer laptop is one year old now since i remembered buying during the last PC show. i dun really have things in mind to buy for now, though i would very much wish for a PSP to help me kill some time.
eventually i still joined the crowd on saturday, cos my sister intends to get herself a personal laptop - and i believed she should, since she also competes with me using the computer at home.
so there we were, suffocating in the halls. and guess what, the car park was full, even though there were quite a lot of lots in suntec. and the silly management didn't even bother to announce before we proceeded towards the car park. they should at least put some signboard in front along ECP. damn. so i ended up parking at millenia walk instead (which i later realised it was millenia tower, not millenia walk, cos i couldn't find my car there!)
anyway, i think i may have castrophobia. i often feel giddy in a place full of people and noise. but like my psy friend would say, treatment towards these kind of anxiety disorder will be exposure therapy.
so we got sony vaio and it is quite a good deal. it looks cool and trendy. i hope my sister will let me bring it to work when i am on call over the weekend. and she got herself an ipod nano too! for once i thought she is quite rich. i requested that she gives me her old ipod since she wouldn't need two =)
we have a gathering today as part of the celebration gala and catch-up session. thanks to all who managed to turn up even though the sms was sent quite late. and no thanks to those who...errmmm forgot to reply.
dinner was at ichiban @ esplanade. more cosy than the branch in novena square and the sashimi was quite fresh too. most importantly, i felt very full and satisfied.
following that we went to this 民歌餐厅 called 爱琴海 near marina square. the singers are quite impressive. prices are affordable and u can stay as long as u like. basically they have a time-table which tells us who will be performing that day. anyway since it was my first time there, i dun really know who are the more popular ones, but the female singer and the pianist are good. will go again if i have the right company.
i shouldn't put this here, but i need to vent my frustration. and i may have said this before already, so pls bear with it.
50% of my fellow colleagues are dysfunctional! it is very hard to get motivated if people around u are not-really-into-working; not-usually-around; mind-their-own-business-only; behaves-like-a-traditional-bride; believes-strongly-in-eye-power; speaks-more-than-does.
of cos there are good ones.
and i believe some still got hope to change.
sigh.
i have been through a number of postings with small groups of working colleagues, and fortunately they have all been enjoyable, simply becos all the colleagues are nice (or perhaps only one or two who were out of the clique - which is good actually, becos we can always have social gathering when he/she is on call). but this posting...
talk about choosing the wrong posting at the wrong time.
