I read a note my grandma wrote back in nineteen twenty-three.
Grandpa kept it in his coat, and he showed it once to me. He said,
"Boy, you might not understand, but a long, long time ago,
Grandma's daddy didn't like me none, but I loved your Grandma so."
We had this crazy plan to meet and run away together.
Get married in the first town we came to, and live forever.
But nailed to the tree where we were supposed to meet, instead
Of her, I found this letter, and this is what it said:
If you get there before I do, don't give up on me.
I'll meet you when my chores are through;
I don't know how long I'll be.
But I'm not gonna let you down, darling wait and see.
And between now and then, till I see you again,
I'll be loving you. Love, me.
I read those words just hours before my Grandma passed away,
In the doorway of a church where me and Grandpa stopped to pray.
I know I'd never seen him cry in all my fifteen years;
But as he said these words to her, his eyes filled up with tears.

Reminiscing 2014
One year passed by in a swift.
One year ago, I was still reminiscing 2013.
Now it's time to look through the major happenings, accomplishment and events in my life.

First month without calls.

Dept treat for turning AC on 21 Feb.

Atas dinner at CUT at MBS.
April
Watched a concert in National Library (tian reng jiu hui lai) and took pics with liang wenfu.
1 year restraint free in CAMIE.
May
Went Beijing, China.
June
Jurong lake run.
Went Sydney, Australia for HammondCare field visit
July
Watched Sun Yanzi’s concert for the first time at the new Stadium (first ever concert held in this new stadium!)
Went Copenhagen, Denmark for dementia conference.

Purchased iPad air
Purchased Surface Pro 3.
Ice bucket challenge craze.
Health talk at Sembawang CC on 31 Aug. Jazzie got scratched at the car park on way back =(

My favorite month of the year with the most significant happenings.
Stanchart run.
Watched Mamamia musical.
Became a senior AC (post 1 year).
We got together and shared many happy days thereafter. This IS the most important and most memorable event and milestone of the year. I am glad 2014 ends in this way, and I look forward to spend our times together in more days/weeks/months/years to come =)
