Suay-ness
Feeling quite "suay" nowadays in (almost) everything..1) night calls
just finished my EOD (every other day) calls a week ago on last saturday and monday, and saturday one was quite siong! think the whole day itself got 30 over new admissions; plus 2 collapses in the general ward (one died; and one died in ICU a day later); some troublesome relatives to talk to; one patient who stalked me when i finally managed to enter my call room to sleep at 3am (she came knocking on my door!! but i ignored her.. i think she needs a psy referral).
Monday call was a HOMO call (as in MO doing HO call; aka stepping down), so i will have to deal with hypocount, plugs, bloods and pain. Got 11 new cases, so wasn't too bad, but the suayness part is that i got the most number of patients on my side that night.
2) Day duties
We will be switching ward soon (since it's the beginning of the month), and guess what, i am going to be in the siongest wards- the overflow wards (again)! The worst part of the overflow wards is that it is like a bottomless pit; as long as the main wards are full, the new patients will go into the overflow wards. And the nurses there were not very helpful (except some lah).
i think i still have some suay experience, just that i can't remember now..
oh yah, kelly lost during the last round of performance on 1st Sep. not particularly sad, cos in my opinion, she is already a superstar in her own rights. I am impressed by her performance! and i think i am gonna suffer from post-superstar syndrome- nothing to look forward to on wednesday and thursday nites...
