Happy CNY!
woooh just came back from the CNY visit.. darn tired! actually we din go to a lot of homes, but everywhere we went, there are a lot of people at their places - so need to interact and chit chat; and earn some cash =p. As the years go by, the idea of collecting ang baos no longer excites me as it used to. Maybe bcos i am now financially independent. but who really mind to have extra $$ =)quite interesting to see so many people after so long. these are the group of relatives whom i believe i only see them once a year, and i am glad i still can recognise them - though the physical attribute may differ, the facial appearance still remains. But i am starting to lose track on how many kids each cousin has oredi, especially when they give birth in close proximity.
as usual the topic of interest will always wind round career, relationship and consultation. "where r u working now", "when r u going to work after ord", etc etc... and i think my answer is almost always the same hahaha.. not that i am not truthful, but the answer is really very much the same as last year! and amazingly, the parents will always talk non-stop - about themselves, about their children, gossiping about other relatives, etc. It's like an annual news update for me on my relatives, which is also one of the reasons why i always reserve the 1st day of CNY to pay visit with my family.
hmmm come to think of it, i have seen the majority of my relatives today oredi! maybe bcos we set off quite early today so we manage to catch some of them at the same place. so what should i do tmr...?
anyway, happy CNY!!! and enjoy these 3 days break while it lasts. (sigh though i'll have to start work on tuesday hummph)
