student once more!
well not really, just that "student" is the living noun of "study", so if i study, that makes me a student! =) i have dedicated today as my study day of the week, cos i strongly feel that i need to revise the management of some of the common diseases seen in the wards, and it doesn't reflect very well if i keep calling my registrar.studying can be fulfillng at times especially if u realise how much u can absorb from the book instead of spending the time checking out facebook. so for the record, i only checked my facebook once today! that's an accomplishment haha!
so being in the mood to study, i headed down to the medical library with cj and to my immense surprise, the library was defunct! it was undergoing some renovation apparently, and so we studied at those benches outside the seminar rooms instead. i can't help but feeling a bit old reading my books there. people around me look so young (like i was 8 years ago, although i seriously/wishfully hope that right now i can still easily pass off as a i-am-learning-anatomy-now kinda year 1 student). hmm are they still using snell's anatomy text? dun think so cos i dun see anyone holding. the tutor remains very much the same though; i saw this professor (which i can't remember the name now off-hand) who is infatuated with alfa-romeos.
at the same time, i bought a couple of texts too, which are likely to be useful for my subsequent self-study. the science canteen food tastes roughly the same; the pig liver from the chinese rice stall still tastes fabulous (i like this nua-nua, slightly uncooked kinda taste) and most importantly, it costs the same!
and the car-park fee was horrendous! there used to be a free carpark somewhere near KE VII hall, but it has been converted to be a paying ERP carpark! damn, the university shouldn't be charging STUDENTS for using the car-parks right... or at least let it be the cheapest rate in town!
so it was a fruitful day for me =p
