day 1
today marks the first day of my work after a hiatus of two years. Quite a lot of changes and advancement..1) using handphone - even the handphone is of the newer model
2) electronic ordering of investigations
3) portable laptop/workstation to bring around during ward rounds (this is good! we can trace results on the spot without looking blank when we can't remember)
but some things dun change.
1) the IT support still sucks. we receive our new user id and password today and it doesn't work!!! So have to call the ITD-helpdesk so many times because everything dun work. the access to the mailbox, the login to windows, the login in to CPSS.
2) still have to fight for case files who PT/OT/ST/nurses/dietician/ah ma/other teams, etc.
3) more additional work to be done. To order investigations, we have to a) write on the main casenotes; b) write on the "treatment and progress" form in the imr (inpatient medical records); c) type and order online!!
it can be quite overwhelming at times cos i can't seem to remember the changes nowadays! will really need some time to re-adapt to this working environment. but i am glad that the cons and reg in the team are nice, though we will be switching wards AGAIN after 3 days on the actual day of MOPEX. strange.. why they dun let us continuing staying in the ward.. hmmm.
hope tmr will be better.
