Hyang-To-Gol
we had a department dinner yesterday (treat by the consultantof the ward!) to celebrate end-of-month posting.. while it is kind of early, but it is probably the only feasible day without people on call/post call/on leave, etc.went to this korean restaurant at Amara Hotel at Tanjong Pagar, Hyang-To-Gol. we booked a private room (there were 8 of us) so it was quite cosy and i enjoyed the privacy. it is those traditional korean meal served with kimchi and some other side dishes as starters, followed by the main course - where u can order bbq pork, beef, pancake, etc. The beef is probably the signature dish, but unfortunately, being a devoted buddhist, i didn't eat it though the dark forces around me kept tempting me to. The hot kimchi soup was the next dish - something like seafood tom yam.
on the whole, it is well recommended. the food is tasty and the ambience is enduring. seems like having meal in a palace.
